Celebrating a Decade of CPA NL!
January 9, 2025 marks a significant milestone—the 10th anniversary of CPA Newfoundland and Labrador, and a decade of being a unified profession. Over the past ten years, we have worked together to strengthen the profession, build stronger communities, and elevate the impact of our members across the province. We are incredibly grateful to our members for their unwavering support, commitment, and dedication throughout this journey. Your collaboration has played a key role in helping us reach this remarkable achievement, and we look forward to continuing this journey together for many years to come. Thank you for being an essential part of our success and for shaping the future of the profession.
TAGGING
Having reached the 10-year milestone, members are no longer required to tag their CPA designation with their legacy designation on business cards, online profiles, letterhead or any other form of correspondence. While no longer required under the transitional provisions of the Chartered Professional Accountants and Public Accountants Act members may continue to tag their legacy designation indefinitely provided they continue to also use the CPA designation. Use of any legacy designation alone is not permitted. For those who wish to continue tagging, the correct format is CPA, followed by a comma, followed by your legacy designation, in that order with no other credentials or designations between the CPA and the legacy designation. If you choose to only use a single designation, or do not carry a legacy designation, it must be CPA.
